Last time I wrote to you I was very hopeful that Ferndale Pride would take place in September. However, we have decided to exercise an abundance of caution and not bring 20,000 people together and put them at risk for COVID-19. The City of Ferndale, Ferndale Community Foundation and Ferndale Pride want to do our part to keep you, your employees and customers healthy, so Ferndale Pride 2020 is being canceled.
What does this mean for my sponsorship?
You have a few options. Let us know which one is correct for you.
(Option 1 - Donate): If your company is able, please consider donating your sponsorship to Ferndale Community Foundation (this is the charity that hosts the event). We can work with you to change the status of your payment for tax-reporting purposes.
(Option 2 - Rollover): If you have already paid for your sponsorship, you can roll it over to 2021. If you have qualified for a logo on the website for 2020, it will remain up for the year. Next year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, June 5, 2021.
(Option 3 - Refund): We know that COVID-19 has caused many companies unbearable financial hardship. Let us know if this is the best option for you.
Remember: If you are a sponsor you are welcome to use our resources to share your business. A post will be made on Ferndale Pride’s Facebook today. Please comment on that post to drop your website or social media link or other contact information one time so that Ferndale Pride audiences can buy items from your company or find the information they are seeking.
Thank you for your patience and understanding in these extraordinary times and your continued support of Ferndale Pride and the LGBTQAI+ community. We look forward to seeing you on June 5, 2021.
