Ferndale Pride is summer's first LGBTQAI festival in the state of Michigan. Free to the public, the event unites community and businesses for the biggest party of the year. Join us, this year, on June 1st to feel the love that is Ferndale Pride.
Nwoye is a pop performer in search of a way to revolutionize the way people think about LGBTQ individuals. His love of performing stemmed from watching Britney Spears' "Toxic" and Beyonce's "Crazy in Love". Finding comfort in artists such as Madonna, he began to take his love of performing to the next level. He recorded his first song at 12, won his first talent show at 13, and released his first single at 21. His singles, "Swimming Pool" and "Strawberry Avenue", have given him the ability to go on a nationwide tour through New York City, California, Dallas, Las Vegas, Ferndale, Pontiac, and Detroit to promote his work. With his unique dance style and electrifying stage presence, this is a performer you won't want to miss. Come see Nwoye on the Main Stage, sponsored by MotorCity Casino Hotel, from 4:00pm-4:30pm on Saturday, June 3rd!
Tunde Olaniran is a local artist from Flint, MI who has been a driving force of the Detroit music scene since his return home from his various stints in Nigeria, Germany, and England. His full length album, Transgressor, was released in August of 2015 and featured an array of tracks that featured his diversity as an artist, focusing on both high-energy dance pop and gut-wrenchingly emotional tracks. His tracks, such as "Namesake" and "Let Me Go", feature his hip hop, R&B, and punk style that makes him legendary. Additionally, his previous EPs have been praised by The New York Times, Pitchfork, NPR, Blackbook, and Stereogum, to name a few. Come see Tunde Olaniran from 8:00pm-8:45pm on Saturday June 3rd at Ferndale Pride's Main Stage, sponsored by MotorCity Casino Hotel!
